Job Description

As a Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for the installation of ADAS sensors and data acquisition systems into test vehicles and demo vehicles. The sensors are used in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Blind Spot Detection, Cross Traffic Alert, Object Detection, Collision Mitigation Systems, and Auto­park features. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on vehicles and advanced driver assist technologies.

Core Responsibilities:
• Develop vehicle build system architecture wiring plans.
• Develop power distribution plan.
• Develop detailed vehicle build wiring schematics.
• Develop sensor mounting brackets.
• Build wire harness assemblies.
• Install wiring per the wiring schematics.
• Install the ADAS sensors.
• Install the data acquisition system, including reference cameras.
• Install power distribution and data distribution equipment.
• Conduct wiring prove out to ensure wiring has been installed per the schematics.
• Ensure vehicle builds are completed as scheduled.
• Prepare vehicle build reports with the standard template.
• Train new technicians with the tasks listed above.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associates of Applied Science degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of vehicle electrical experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical specifications and blueprints.
• Mechanical bracket design and fabrication skills.
• Systematic problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office tools for documentation development.
• Able to work in a team environment or independently with little to no supervision to meet tight deadlines
• Must be flexible and able to handle changing priorities.
• Self­ dependent with a high degree of passion, dedication and commitment.
• Valid driver license, ability to drive manual transmission.
• Willing and able to travel occasionally in support of test activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of vehicle electronics, including vehicle communication systems (CAN, Vector products).
• Computerized data logging system knowledge.
• Continuous improvement mindset towards process and procedure development.
