HR Generalist
Overview
In this role you will partner with employees and management to communicate various HR related procedures, policies, laws, standards, compensation and benefits along with regulatory requirement associated with those areas. Support members of the management with departmental strategies and operational goal setting to reach their objectives and expectations.
Core Responsibilities
• Acts as a single point of the contact for the employees and managers in the location
• Responds to employee relation issues such as employee concerns, harassment, and discrimination complaints. Conducts internal investigations as necessary.
• Acts as company representative to outside organizations as assigned (courts, local networks, unemployment hearings)
• Guides employees and superiors in employee relations conflict resolution (i.e. absenteeism management, working schedules coordination, performance improvement action planning)
• Provides expert coaching to management and ensures timely, effective execution of all local operational HR related work (i.e. personnel selection and placement, transfer and separation, succession planning at operational levels, compensation decisions, local organizational design, employee relations coaching for management, discipline and performance management).
• Introduces/ implements new HR related services & processes (from SC's and CoE's) into assigned organization
• Coordinates annual compensation processes including variable compensation and salary
planning
• Manages and supports Impatriates / Expatriates based on International Mobility Policies
• Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
• Supports and guides managers as well as individual employees in talent and performance management processes in accordance with country specific legal regulations, CoE guidance, and company guidelines and ensures execution of measures
• Steers and Manages Job Evaluation, Plant compensation Policies and Programs, Compensation Market Benchmarking, Benefits
• Steers preparation of job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluations and job classifications
• Handles benefits inquires and complaints to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution.
• Ensures legal compliance for area in all areas for HR and at the State and Federal levels
• Ensures records compliance for area of responsibility (i.e. record retention of compensation decisions, performance management, etc.)
• Monitors time management and HR modules in SAP


Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Social Science or related area
• 3+ years’ experience as a HR Generalist
• Deep understanding and experience in human relations processes that drive people performance, planning, labor relations, location communication
• Strong skills in Compensation & Benefits
• Strong experience working in a matrix organization
• Has demonstrated tenacity / persistence
• Analytical Skills with Data and Spreadsheets
• Functional knowledge – federal and state laws
• Good Microsoft Suite skills (Strong skills in Excel)
• Strong Oral and Written communications
• Good Conflict resolution skills



Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in business, Human, Psychology, Social Science or related area
• 3+ years of as a HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
• Experience with various international cultures
