Job Description


The Engineering Supervisor ADAS will lead a team of sensing and driving functions engineers, software engineers, system engineers, vehicle test engineers specialized in highly complex ADAS functions as a part of an international development team for Continental's ADAS products to go into series production in the next few years.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks:

- Oversee development, track project performance and quality and timely release of algorithms, frame software, specifications, components for ADAS driving functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Brake Assist or Traffic Jam Assist as well as autonomous driving functions like cruising chauffeur

­- Ensure projects are staffed to meet needs of the customer and grow team to customer demands

- Establish personal and employee training plans, schedule training, and track results

­- Manage projects for driver assistance functions.
- Support business acquisition activities for new and existing driver assistance functions and sensors

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Relevant BS Engineering Degree

- 7 years of experience

Technical Knowledge - Capable of managing advanced abilities and knowledge in practices and techniques gained through experience and exposure to complex and diverse techniques, theories, and principles

Research and Development - Capable of managing and directing the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential products

Project Management - Capable of managing advanced Project Management or Relationship Management principles.

Problem Solving - Manage in-depth analysis of the different possible courses of action and then selecting the best solution for implementation.

Analysis / Synthesis - Capable of noticing discrepancies, inconsistencies, and trends in available information

Preferred Qualifications:

- Masters Degree

- 10 years of experience

- Experience with simulation tools (e.g. ipg Carmaker)
- Detailed knowledge about vehicle E/E architecture
- Knowledge about electronic brake systems
- Communication and presentation skills
- Detailed knowledge about vehicle E/E architecture
- Experience with the development process of U.S.
automobile manufacturers

- Proficient in scripting with python
- Proficient with version control tools
- Proficient with requirements management tools such as Doors
- Clean driving record and willingness to work with test vehicles
