Job Description

Position Title: Product Group Manager TMA (Thermal Management Actuators) North America

Areas of Responsibilities:
• Complete general business responsibility of specific product group (TMA) in the North American Region
• Gross Margin, Sales, business development, Operations (Production) for the North American Region

Core Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of PLC (product life cycle) from Gate20 to Gate 100 within Matrix organization of BU S&A:
• Manages and supervises the Product Group Team consisting of Product Mangers (PDM), Project Managers (PM) and Application Engineers (AP) (Currently 4 direct reports)

Selection of opportunities
• Business development with TMA subsegment locations in Europe, Americas, Asia
• Check with respective TMA PSM (Product Sales Manager) to setup sales plan correctly on that product group
• Synchronize with regional PSM in the regions
• Sub segment strategy for Sales Plan and budgets (R&D, invest, market and customer strategies)
• Establish NA product roadmap for TMA and ensure it matches with the Global Roadmap

Supervise RFQ's (G20 --> G30)
• Support, coach acquisition leader in the region
• Secure consistency for global customers in the regions with local customer entities
• Set strategy for pricing, quotations, CBD's and set as targets for local colleagues (PM, rPSM)
• Responsible for maintaining hurdle rates and fitting in sub segment strategy for financial targets

Secure proper PM for product group (G30 --> G80)
• Responsible for reaching project targets (Gate Hurdles (Q and PLC), budget, profitability, milestones, performance) related to product group
• Work globally with application managers (resource managers) and with PM's to ensure success.
PLC conform development and customer satisfaction
• Conducts project reviews with local management in the regions
• Prepares management decisions if needed together with the associated PM's
• Project reports on ePSR, ePPT to sub segment management - support AP and PUR for optimal supplier setup

Gross margin (GM) responsibility for product group G80 --> G100
• Monitors regularly (monthly) global GM divided in regions
• Reviews with local FF teams and determines actions to reach targets and to further improve (PCO's, CBS, Pur etc.)
• Reports to sub segment management monthly performance and annual targets
• Determine PCO activities and setup in PMP, PM or appropriate locations/colleagues
• Suggests footprint and creates business cases, presents to management and leads changes if decided with global team

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics
• Minimum of 7 to 10+ Years automotive engineering or technical business development experience
• Experienced managing all aspects of PLC (product life cycle), including launch for new product/products
• At least 2+ years of experience working in a lead, supervisory, or management level position

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, or an MBA
• 10+ Years of automotive engineering or technical business development experience
• Experienced managing all aspects of PLC (product life cycle)
• Related tasks and responsibilities in a global role
