Overview
In this role, you will work with internal product teams to develop and improve Continental's cybersecurity maturity by providing the technology and processes to detect and prevent internal or external attempts to infiltrate vehicle systems and data.

Core Responsibilities
• Cybersecurity specialist with focus on embedded security and privacy in and around the vehicle
• Develop security and privacy solutions around electronic control units and the associated interfaces and networks
• Strong focus on supporting business units to help mature Continental's cybersecurity posture
• Assist in researching attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems and coordinating mitigation strategy
• Support Continental's coordinated vulnerability disclosure program
• Develop and refine Automotive Security and Privacy standards ¬
• Drive the standardization of Automotive Security and Privacy solutions.
• Coordinate with the different functional areas of R&D, product development, and vehicle manufacturers. Job Requirements Basic Qualifications
• 2 + years with Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or 4+ years if no relevant Bachelors Degree
• Familiarity with security vulnerabilities, security threat modeling, cryptography, penetration testing, and other basic security concepts
• Understanding of basic data privacy and protection goals
• Ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical counterparts and project management
• Ability to accurately interpret customer requirements regarding secure design and testing of embedded systems
• Ability to systematically analyze multiple alternative designs and provide defensible recommendation in alignment with security fundamentals and corporate objectives
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Masters Degree University degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years with degree
• 2+ years of experience in the implementation of automotive security projects
• Familiarity with security concepts as applied to embedded systems
• Knowledge of secure communication technologies
• Experience in Privacy by Design
• Cryptographic protocols and hardware (CMAC, HMAC, PKI, HSM, SHE, etc.)
