BestDrive Redlands

Establishes and maintains the site accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to management. Administers the total business processes to include inventory management, receiving and delivery processing, business computer systems (MaddenCo and SAP interface), and customer interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits.
• Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
• Support inbound calls and orders; provide order entry and logistics assistance for the outside sales associates.
• Demonstrate excellent phone and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers
• Reconcile monthly inventory.
• Administer inventory receiving and deliveries
• Responsible for helping to develop the yearly annual operating plan.
• Fixed Asset System management, including addition and disposals
• Monthly fixed asset roll­forward schedule preparation for reporting
• Monthly depreciation journal entry preparation, and support to tax department of running requested reports for property tax purposes.
• Monthly account reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts
• Assists with internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including month end closing activities
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.

Job Requirements:
• Possession of AA/AS degree in fields such as Accounting, Business or Finance; one to three years of experience with financial analysis and reporting
• Possession of advanced knowledge of computers and application software, including Excel in creating financial reports
• Knowledge of various office procedures, and the ability to operate office equipment
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, in addition to sound organizational skills
• Proficient in planning and organizing tasks, managing priorities, and utilizing available resources to completing tasks within the deadline
• Possession of exceptional interpersonal skills needed to effectively interact with different groups of people, including students, academic staff, and faculty.
