Job Description

At Continental, the ADAS Engineering Systems team is responsible for developing technology for the next generation of vehicles that will enable us to have a safe, clean and comfortable driving environment. We are looking for an experienced Computer Vision Engineer to develop the next generation of multi­camera surround view technologies.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders throughout the development process.
• Assures the successful realization of project activities within the given time and budget frame
• Implementation of computer vision algorithms in MatLab and C++.
• Responsibility for algorithm design and evaluation of pre­existing algorithm approaches
• Development of modular multiplatform software components for the following functions:
o 3D multi­camera surround view and image stitching
o Multi­ camera view
o Image harmonization
o Augmented reality functions
o Imager control
• Provide support for camera calibration, tracking algorithms and geometry
• Optimization of software for embedded devices
• Continual improvement of algorithms through simulaiton and in vehicle testing
• Ensure the quality of the delivered software
• Interaction with team members across multiple sites

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree with an focus on Software development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
• At least 3 years of computer vision or image processing experience
• Strong knowledge with image rendering, image harmonization and fish eye correction
• Advanced C, C++ programming skills
• Experience with Linux (OpenGL/OpenCL)
• Strong image processing foundation
• Experience working with fish eye and wide angle lens
• Experienced with source control systems (e.g. Git, Subversion) and bug tracking (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla)
• Experience working with embedded devices such as ARM and multicore processors
• Experience in automotive embedded systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluent English language
