Job Description


Responsible as a technical expert for the initial customer contact and the combined processing concerning 0­km issues and if applicable for warranty field returns. Additionally supports the BUs / plants regarding sorting/flash actions, pre­analysis of return parts and activities also in the launch phase to minimize costs and quality issues.

Responsibilities and Objectives

• Establishes a trusting relationship with the customer’s plant engineering, line operators, quality departments, logistic departments and customers service organizations.
• Manages the specific customer location with proactive visits at a frequency agreed with the customer.
• Operates as the direct contact and response person to customer’s complaints (not necessarily on site).
• Provides quick and accurate feedback to the manufacturing plants and if applicable to the BUs regarding quality/manufacturing issues.
• Joint pre­analysis / pre­selection at the customers warranty return centers, resulting in discussions to reduce part returns and the related costs.
• Coordinates the transfer of return parts to appropriate analysis centers and, if applicable, registers complained parts in the return database.
• Coordination of sorting, rework or re­flash actions at the customer facilities and implements immediate actions to minimize customer disruption.
• Support of product changes, customer plant trial runs and of safe launch activities at customers facilities.

*This position is located in Seattle, WA.

Basic requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years minimum manufacturing experience if no relevant Bachelor’s Degree
• Must have a valid U.S driver’s license

Preferred Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of automotive technology
• At least 3 years of automotive manufacturing or repair experience
• Very good PC knowledge (MS Office, customer specific car analysis tools)
