Overview:
Electronic Product Design Engineer is responsible for defining EBS electronics for assigned development projects. The electronic product design engineers tasks begin with requirements review and product definition after award of project. Candidate will then lead the development process for the project through the product life cycle including design execution, design qualification, and process validation as needed. During each phase of development he or she will need to work extensively with core development team distributed globally. Product design engineer also represents the EBS electronics organization at internal project team meetings to resolve planning and design challenges.

Core Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze Automotive OEM requirements for new quotations and identify any exceptions or design changes from offered EBS Electronics Control Module.
• Define electrical, mechanical, and system design features and perform releases per Continental Product Life Cycle Process for EBS Electronics Control Module.
• Develop qualification plan with customer and resolve all identified test issues to support project timing.
• Manage various project activities for assigned projects for EBS electronics control module to support project life cycle needs.
• Represent EBS Electronics group for assigned projects in Integrated Project Teams with electronics expertise for support of resolving schedule, system interface, or quality issues during development of project.
• Support Automotive OEM and internal Continental investigations in the reduction of quality related issues during development, launch, and during full volume production.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Support process improvement activities.
• Support Warranty Analysis Activities for Electronic Brake and Suspension electronics.
• Travel to customer sites (test or production) to assist in problem solving activities. Job Requirements Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years experience with an automotive or aerospace company.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in the Automotive Industry.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft applications.
• Customer interface experience.
• Understand how to plan and schedule projects.
• Experience with commercial or automotive electronics.
• Highly motivated.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with electronic design documents (schematic, wiring diagrams).
• Familiarity with circuit simulation or analysis.
