Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting ES ECU ABH Engineering lab related activities: ECU mods, electrical components soldering, ECU repair, harness modifications, load boxes modifications, ordering prototype components, etc.

Core Responsibilities:
• Perform modifications to electronic circuits and automotive components by hand
• Perform fine­pitch soldering and repair of electronics
• Program/operate test equipment such as thermal chambers, benchtop meters, oscilloscopes
• Perform modifications to harnesses, load boxes.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Support customer prototype deliveries including programming, testing, documentation and shipping of prototypes
• Organize and deliver build kits for prototype builds
• Perform searches for component stock and specifications in multiple databases
• Perform electrical and mechanical testing of automotive electronics
• Document test results in a clear and organized manner
• Organize electronic components and tools
• Support repairs and calibrations of laboratory equipment and custom fixtures
• Perform informal quality and housekeeping audits
• Program/operate test equipment such as thermal chambers, benchtop meters, oscilloscopes
• Operate in a dynamic work environment and adjust to frequent requirements changes
• Handle several tasks simultaneously.

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma, GED, or Associate’s degree
• 3 to 5+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician, preferably with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier
• Experience in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators and power supplies.
• Experience in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Automotive experience.
• SAP knowledge
