Job Description

Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human relations, organizational and employee development at the business unit or division level. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. Participates in company­wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change). Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process­oriented perspectives. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.

Essential Functions:

• Driving and implementing all operational HR topics within the Valparaiso location
• HR consulting for employees within area of responsibility
• Supports the Business Unit in recruiting for positions (internal & external recruiting)
• Consulting in employee development activities
• Support on global BU topics and initiatives
• Leading the location’s talent management activities
• Coordinating/consulting on organizational development and change management activities.
• Support of strategic projects (Location, BU and HR specific)
• Carries out the annual Strategic Workforce Planning
• Guides employees and superiors in employee relations conflict resolution. Conducts internal investigations as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Social Science or related area or minimum 4 years of HR experience or more, if no relevant Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 2 years of HR experience

Master’s degree in Business, Psychology, Social Science or related area, preferred
5 years of HR experience, preferred.
