Job Description

Overview:
IT Business Analyst for Database for Online Process Analysis & Control (DOPAC)
In this role, the incumbent will perform senior level Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) duties in support and delivery of advanced analytics and proactive use of information in the day­to­day manufacturing processes. The MI Analyst will use consolidated manufacturing data from all aspects and processes of our plants to emphasis improvements in quality and production management. The incumbent will work with all areas of the shop floor and its integration to other shop floor systems with DOPAC not only to resolve issues but prevent them. Because of the nature of this business (i.e. manufacturing 24x7) a successful candidate is expected to perform after hours or holiday support.
Core Responsibilities:
• Manufacturing Area (Mixing/Tire/Final Finish/Warehouse)
o Support the full system lifecycle, including the design, development, test, validation and implementation of new requirements.
o Second level support for system operation and error diagnostics
o Handling of Incident and Problem tickets and Change Requests
o Coordination with global operations & support team & third level support of Manufacturing Intelligence

• Product optimization
o Close collaboration with the Americas plant key users and with global operation & support team for issue resolution or solution enhancement
o Design, development and implementation of the interfaces to other MES components, to the machine PLCs, as well as to specification and planning systems.
o Basic system administration tasks, e.g. user access rights, server monitoring, logging and configuration
o Support plant user community, esp. data analysts, in execution of advanced analytics use cases, e.g. by executing data integration processes and supporting the creation of analytical base tables
o Data integration development and implementation of new source system interfaces for new use cases or plant roll­out
o Improve performance of load processes by optimizing process design

• Project Work
o Provide technical expertise in the design, development and implementation of the standard system in our manufacturing plants worldwide
o Co­ordinate and manage roll out projects in plants, including integration into the existing IT landscape as well as provision of technical and training documentation
o New use cases / plant roll­out and incorporate continuous enhancement of MI solution from product optimization tasks
o Coordination/execution and control of test case catalogue for new releases

Required Qualifications:
• BA/BS Computer Science or Equivalent
• Two years’ experience in design and implementing Data Warehouse Development and Support in Manufacturing environment. Working Experience in Data warehouse technologies.
• Recently demonstrated experience in a consultative or operational role leading a successfully DWH engagement for or within a large global enterprise customer, preferably for a Manufacturing Client.
• Database knowledge (Oracle, SQL, MS SQL)
