Job Description

Administer the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) system. Work with Maintenance & Engineering team to ensure the system effectively and efficiently supports the long term success of the plant. Ensure the system is efficient to administer and captures all key metrics necessary to attach costs directly to equipment (inclusive of labor expenses). Initially the incumbent will assist with the establishment of and conversion to the Continental SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) within the St. Marys, Ohio facility.

1. Initially be the catalyst to get our facility established in the SAP Plant Maintenance system.

2. Administer the SAP PM system.
• Create step by step work instructions for training purposes.
• Train other colleagues on the use of the system.
• Maintain the system as the facility evolves.
• Manage the work order system for Preventative & Corrective work orders.
• Create, modify, and distribute various charts/graphs, etc.
• Work with leadership team presenting opportunities for additional analytics.
• Serve as the internal expert resource for others within the facility as well as from other Continental facilities.

3. Work with the team to organize spare parts and materials. Create documentation internal to SAP as well as external to SAP that provide a high level of visability for spare parts quantities and costs.

4. Create documentation for existing and new equipment such as BOMs and lists of critical spare parts for each piece of equipment.

6. Work with other team members to plan and schedule both Preventative and Corrective work.

7. Other duties as identified by the management team.


Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or a technical degree required
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to solve problems and issues.
• Must be detailed orientated.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP desired.
• Willingness and ability to do hands-on work when required.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Prior hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles or Toyota Production System a plus.
