Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve product quality and integrity in the grinding and cutting department.
Design, qualify, maintain, improve and troubleshoot high volume precision machining and/or precision grinding processes.
Develop and maintain solid working relationships with department members including department head, staff engineer, peers, shift coaches, shift technicians and hourly employees.
Initiate and complete projects in support of quality improvement and problem resolution, departmental productivity, scrap goals, efficiency goals and environmental/safety goals

Experience:
Prior manufacturing and process design
Experience in cutting tool design and analysis
Thorough knowledge of statistical process control
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
Autocad or Inventor Required
Proficiency in office software required

Minimum Requirements:
BSME (Manufacturing Engineer) or 5 years relevant experience (Engineering Analyst)

Preferred experience:
Automotive manufacturing engineering experience
