Job Description

Overview:
The Morganton process quality NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) expert. Monitoring the NVH testing process to ensure quality. Liaison between the Manufacturing facility, Auburn Hills Engineering, Frankfurt Engineering, Japanese Engineering, and Suppliers
relative to the NVH test process. Keeps the Senior Quality Manager updated on all EBS product and process matters.

Core Responsibilities:
* Lead internal manufacturing processes and production Process optimization and scrap reduction
* Understanding of electromechanical valves, brushed and brushless motors, ball screw drives, and other brake controls components.
* Lead production troubleshooting and statistical analysis.
* Lead component and system related to NVH activities internally, in the Conti production plant
* Record and Analyze NVH data related Electronic Brake Systems
* Lead Test Lab NVH and component tests
* Lead Component Change Management activities
* Lead technical discussions for supplier localization efforts
* Act as liaison between Morganton/Auburn Hills/Frankfurt/Tokyo in technical matters (Process and vendor NVH inputs)

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering; 5 or more years of engineering experience Automotive/vehicle supplier (Manufacturing) experience in lieu of a degree
* Capable of detecting and analyzing NVH problems and identifying possible solutions
* Capable of demonstrating commonly used engineering practices, analysis, and procedures
* Capable of noticing discrepancies, inconsistencies and trends in available information
* Capable of working on a high, diverse performance team
* Excellent engineering communication skills
* Fluent in Microsoft Excel, creation of macros, charts, graphs and statistical analysis
* Fluent in Powerpoint
* Generation of engineering test reports.
* Familiar with NVH Data Acquisition

Preferred Qualifications:
* 5 years in-depth Sound quality analysis experience.
* Good knowledge of quality engineering principles including Six Sigma problem solving methodology, process capability analysis,
* measurement system analysis, design of experiments, statistical process control, failure made and effects analysis etc.
* Experience with Minitab and Matlab
* Experience with Head Acoustic NVH equipment and software.
* Sound and Vibration signal processing
* Sound quality analysis
* NVH data processing
* Bilingual recommended (German / English)
