Powertrain ECU Systems Software Engineer

Core Responsibilities:
• Responsible to design Engine Controls Functions & Software according to the requirements set and implement SW according to the design in the required time frame.
• Integrates modules and ensures integrated software consistency.
• Executes tests (incl. test result documentation, test incidence reporting) with a high commitment to identify hidden failures most efficiently and to support failure analysis and correction by comprehensive test incidence reporting.
• Knowledgeable in Mechanical engineering (e.g. combustion engines)

Additional Responsibilities:
• System and software development
• Programming in C, C++, to develop software for controls systems within ECU
• Customer requirements, test software, functionality
• Component implementation and design

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related concentration
• 0-2+ years of experience in controller features, HW interfaces, control and feedback control systems
• 0-2+ years of experience in programming languages like C & C++ and coding rules and automotive development tools like MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow
• Experience in requirements engineering and systems, HW and SW architectures.
• Experience in Automotive SPICE.
• Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
• 3+ years of experience in controller features, HW interfaces, control and feedback control systems, programming languages like C & C++ and coding rules and automotive development tools like MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow
• Expertise using tools like Matlab and Simulink
