Overview:
The role of the Product Launch Manager is to ensure that all the steps in the development process of new products are followed and corrective measures are put in place to ensure on time product launch. Includes the coordination of the marketing activities and communication.
Core Responsibilities:
o Tracking of new tire / retread product development projects
o Creation of a comprehensive Product Launch Plan
o Supports Product Management with Product Life Cycle Management
Additional Responsibilities:
o Based on the product request a product development plan is created and a launch date is defined.
o Initiates the product development process with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, and Supply Chain
o Tracks each project to ensure launch dates are met
o Supports PM with medium and long term product strategy
o Coordinates the phase in and phase out process (with other departments [Supply Chain, Pricing, GTS] to ensure accurate product availability information)
o Monitors Product Premise to ensure correct product status (in development, active, phased out)
o Communicates clearly with R&D on development projects on current and future product development needs as the requirements change with competition Job Requirements Required Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience which include the following (or if no degree, you must have 10+ years of the following):
o Exceptional project management skills with an evident ability to multi-task and prioritize
o Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, MS Project)
o Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and execute results within designated timeframes
o Ability to take big picture view whilst executing micro results
o Previous experience in managing the work output of other team members and service providers to deliver tasks on time
o High level Word, Excel, PowerPoint and WordPress skills
o Excellent attention to detail and exceptional written communication skills
o Willing to learn new systems and skills
o Strategic thinker
o Organized, decisive, reliable and trustworthy
o Commitment to 15 percent travel

Preferred Qualifications:
o 7+ years of the required qualifications
• Progressive experience preferably in Automotive companies, and / or durable goods industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar
