Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the quality assurance floor inspector monitors and inspects areas for adherence and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Also, responsible for adhering to the SOPs and cGMPs that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced. Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance. Job Requirements 1.Perform inbound inspection of materials including mechanical inspection of various hardware, fixtures and gauges.
2.Working knowledge of hand held measuring equipment.
3.Checking parts at beginning of shift for any non-conformities based on quality plan.
4.Conducts in process sampling and physical testing of product with required paperwork. Disposition and control on non¬conforming product.
5.Support Quality Engineering as needed with RMAs, Customer Returns, SCARS, Supplier Correction Action Requests.
6.Provide necessary documentation to support PPAP process including Certificates of Conformity and product verifications to print specifications.
7.Participate in the Internal Auditing Program including manufacturing process and dock audits to ensure conformity to documented procedures and customer specific requirements.
8.Identify areas within the organization where process improvements (e.g. training or process review) are needed based on customer issues and or high scrap rates to include notification to appropriate personnel and verification that issues are resolved effectively.
9.Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned by supervisor.
10.Keep inspection work area clean.
11.Maintain organized records, logs, and samples.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must currently be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program, preferably Engineering or related field.
Technical Skills: Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Other Skills / Abilities: Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment. Possess practical knowledge of appropriate quality processes and strong presentation skills.
