Job Description

Support the Continental KAM organization to be in full compliance with Original Equipment (OE) Passenger Light Truck (PLT) customer standards and requirements throughout Continental organization, from the product launch till its discontinuation. Assure consistent management and follow­up of OE complaints and associated activities. Focus on OE PLT Americas Customers and Plants, with liaison with EU team members when Americas plants supply overseas, or when Americas customers receive from Continental plants outside of the Americas.

Core Responsibilities:
• Ensure the effective execution of D5 & D7 (Corrective & recurrance prevention) defined actions for all OE customers complaints, acting as the main liaison partner between the KAM/AE, the manufacturing plants and central quality.
• Ensure quality policies and best practices are implemented according to customer expectations (including but not limited to problem solving processes, reporting formats, deployment of lessons learned.)
• Represent Central Quality as part of a multi­disciplinary team in 8D cases, assuming a leading role in high severity cases (level 1­4).
• Introduce and maintain the necessary OE standards in the Continental organization in order to satisfy and fully comply with the OE customers’ requirements ­ such as but not limited to Ford Q1 or GM GSB+.
• Evaluate the readiness of Continental Manufacturing locations to start serial production of OE Products requiring new processes or technologies and support them to find solutions to close the gaps whenever necessary.
• Involve in RICP process for OE related items. Adopt a helicopter view / strategic perspective in relation to customer quality standards and requirements in order to identify synergies across accounts and BIC (Best In Class) approaches to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure KPI definition, tracking and follow up on all Quality related improvements with impact to OE products/services.
• Prepare, organize, accompany customer plant audits in cooperation with central / regional team. (KAM / AE /QM)
• Analyze, follow­up, evaluate and respond to any kind of customer complaints in cooperation with teams. (KAM/AE/Plant)
• Initiate actions in the plants and/or Conti organizations to prevent future quality complaints.
• Team member for FMEA, Control Plan and other related Quality system documentation.
• OE representative in the PPS audits
• Interface to Yield manager for continuous improvement activities
• Support yearly internal audits for OE Auburn Hills, Mexico City, Quito and Jundiai.
• Ensure the implementation of the Quality Standards and Conti internal processes relating to the quality of all OE Product/Services.
• Ensure internal processes are updated reflecting lessons learned.
• Ensure the Continental BU OE PLT employees are scheduled and planned, as well as trained in the understanding and skills needed to perform their functions in respect of industry standards (IATF 16949, VDA, etc) and core tools needed to perform their functions (SPS, FMEA,CSR, etc)
• Involve in Q­relevant topics and events with OE team and customers.
• Maintain close communication with the OE team to ensure alignment on OE requirements and update on Quality status.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7 years of experience in Original Equipment/Automotive environment
• Experience in Quality Management and Quality tools as well as in implementation of quality system (e.g. ISO TS 16949)
• MS Office Suite (advanced Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:
• 10 – 15 years of experience in Original Equipment/Automotive environment handling technical and quality issues
• 2 years of experience in leading cross functional team in taskforce and /or projects
• 2 years of experience working with international teams
• Knowledge in GM QSB+/BIQS, Ford Q1, Renault/Nissan ANPQP, German Automotive Standards/VDA, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving, enough experience to teach the competency to others.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a global and /or diverse and/or complex projects. Leads projects or internal sub-teams covering various internal team activities.
• Proven communication, relationship building and influencing skills.
