Overview:

Manage the R&D department for Segment Speed NA. Coordinate all efforts for development and production release within defined responsibilities. Develop operating budget proposal and insure department operations are within budget. Drive the department long and short term strategic direction to develop a high performing organization with the goal of creating an environment rich in customer and employee satisfaction. Insure efficient interface within department for introduction of future technologies.

Core Responsibility
- Coordinate activities internal and external to department
- Ensure proper interface (data, drawings) and tools needed by R&D
- Provide technical leadership
- Interface with Customers and prepare presentations
- Drive R&D performance to complete customer satisfaction
- Manage NA R&D budget
- Participate in and support the annual ISO and other audits
- Quality support
- Special assignments as directed
- Customer negotiations
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally Job Requirements Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering (ex. Mechanical / Electrical engineering)

Professional Experience
- 10 years experience in automotive engineering
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- At least 5 years experience working within global team
- At least 5 years of experience working with OEM's.

Preferred Qualification:
- More than 2 years experience in an international assignment)
