Senior Staff Software Engineer (Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI) Perform customer software integration using various compilers, debuggers, and configuration management tools. Review customer performance requirements and translate to testable product requirements. Lead technical discussions with internal and external customers for Chassis and Safety topics. Design software architecture using Automotive Industry Standard Software tool chain. Maintain development content in configuration management tools like MKS, GIT and maintain timing estimates using MS Project and MS Excel. Perform software engineering on products developed such as Driver Assistance Products, Automotive radars and cameras, and semi active suspension electronic control units. Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation testing using dSpace, Matlab, Simulink and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) verification testing using OLS. Perform software development for automotive products in Embedded C, C++, and Python. Job Requirements Requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related or equivalent. Requires five (5) years of embedded C or C++ programming experience to include three (3) years: automotive industry standard communication tools like CANalyzer, CANoe and CANape; using automotive industry standard debuggers like iSystems or Lauterbach; common source code editors like Understand C or Eclipse; designing software for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and ECU testing; automotive communication protocols such as CAN, J1939 and LIN; two (2) years version control tools like MKS/IMS; testing tools like oscilloscope and multi-meter; developing low level drivers for Freescale and Renesas Microcontroller families.
