Senior Staff Software Engineer (Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI) Implement graphical user-interfaces using Altia and Qt, with API and SDKs integrations which provide services for media, phone and navigation features in vehicles. Perform model-based design and development of widgets and animations for various automotive controllers using ANSI C for embedded electronics, C++ and Microsoft Visual C .net. Design and develop instrument cluster ECU architecture by interpreting and translating customer requirements to internal specifications and customer negotiations using DOORS,(SPSS, STSS) and end of line configuration. Handle diagnostic commands to troubleshoot ECUs and decode vehicle data log and software commands. Use Vector CAN tools and EESE DET too (Diagnostic Engineering tool) to debug and resolve software issues. As a HMI subsystem lead, handle and implement customer change requests and solve HMI issues. Create test suites, perform functionality testing and HMI feature performance benchmark. Use software configuration and change management tools, support management reviews and provide regular status updates to leadership teams. Work with test and validation teams to triage issues and release the software for each milestone throughout the vehicle model years.
