Job Description

Service Regional Specialist IT Interfaces, to be responsible for troubleshooting, knowledge management, trainings and project support on IT Interfaces (CGMS, SFI, MMS, IPC Management, etc.) for the Americas

Core Responsibilities
▪ service for MES systems (CSMI, GGMS, DOPAC, SFI, etc..) for the Americas
▪ participation in hotline system => availability during office hours / agreed call on duty and over time based on pending emergency cases
▪ remotely assessing the emergency case
▪ organization of actions and additional support (mc supplier + inside Conti) in order to overcome the emergency
▪ communication to all involved parties
▪ traveling on short notice (latest next day)
▪ documentation of emergency case in standard knowledge management
▪ Follow­up case closing
▪ sophisticated problem solving approach (not try and error)
▪ analyse of emergency case (root cause analysis) => definition of actions
▪ Build up database and keep it update on clusters of failures and sharing
▪ conduct training (local engineers + maintenance)
▪ coaching the local Engineering in order to empower the local Engineering to manage emergency cases w/o external support
▪ follow up of agreed training plans
▪ engineering support into dedicated projects
▪ project work (instalation + commissioning incl. Supervising)
▪ conducting inspections in region
▪ programming of specific PLC programs
▪ validation of new machine functions / processes

Basic Requirements
Bachelor of electrical engineering
Main knowledge in actual C&D standards and IT Interfaces
Communication skills (not only English)
Knowledge in IPC Management (PC, Windows, network, communication)
Open minded
Several years experience in electrical engineering ­ preferable field service
High willingness to travel worldwide ­ traveling ~30 ­ 50% ­majority are short trips max 3 weeks
Willingness to travel on short notice
