Position Title: Software Technical Project Lead Embedded Systems

Essential Functions:

The Software Technical Project Lead (SW TPL) is responsible for overall operational management of software development projects. Comply with SW Department processes and deliver as per project scope, schedule and budget.

− Overall responsible for the successful management of the SW project:
o Risk management
o Project Planning and controlling
o Coordination of the software project team
− Responsible for the SW robust development implementation
− Ensures SW Development Processes are followed
− Represents the SW team as an Interface to the customer on SW topics
− Reports project status to the R&D Department, Project Manager and Sr. Management
− Responsible for planning and controlling of software configuration management, problem solving management and the software change management
− Structure the SW project to support successful delivery of ASPICE level 3
− Full ownership of MAN3 (Project Management), SUP8 (Change Management) SUP 10 (Change request management) process area from SW standpoint
− Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment, investments
− Establish a detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones and a understanding of the needed resources
− Tracks activities and spending of the SW project scope
− Daily management of SW projects by assigning tasks and work packages to the SW team members
− Manage distributed project set­ups and collaboration with team members from other sites
− Coaching and development of the software engineers on the development project

Educational Requirements:
− Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
− Master degree preferred in Embedded Systems

− Minimum 3 years of relevant SW project management experience
− Minimum 5 years of hands­ on experience on Embedded SW development
− Strong knowledge of state ­of­ the­ art Software engineering practices/technology trends
o Agile Methods
o AUTOSAR architecture
o ASPICE, CMMI, or other software development process model
o ISO26262
o Cybersecurity
− Project Management Certification

Essential Competencies:
− Agile mindset
− Mindset of Continuous Improvement and change agent
− Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
− Excellent negotiations skills, both written and verbal
− Experience in automotive applications and applicable interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet and LIN networks
− Experience with Configuration Management tools
− Experience with Requirements Management using tools like DOORS
− Experience with Model Based Design using Matlab, Rhapsody, or Statemate
