• Develop state­of­the­art silicon photonic detectors.
• Design, layout and simulation of Photonic Integrated Circuits.
• Mask layout/design.
• Solid state device and electronic modeling / simulation of active and passive elements of photonic integrated circuits.
• Defining DOE and performing statistical data analysis.
• Hands­on design verification test / engineering verification test.
• Support transition to mass production manufacturing. Job Requirements • BS/MS/PHD Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related discipline.
• Min. 5 years of experience years.
• Experience with modeling and performance analysis of detectors (visible, NIR, SWIR, MWIR, and/or LWIR).
• Experience with detector designs and layouts.
• Experience with at least one silicon photonic foundry and its PDK.
• Knowledge of CMOS fabrication processes.
• Strong background and hands­on experience in development of III­V or Silicon.
• Fluent with a standard tool chain such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Silvaco, etc.
• Demonstrated success with team­oriented environment.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred:
• Experience with backside illuminated silicon detectors.
• Experience with direct bond interface.
• Knowledge of device physics for the semiconductor devices such as PIN and APD for charged particle detection.
• Advanced knowledge of visible, NIR, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR detector characterization, design, and system level integration.
• Optical receiver design for telecommunication.
