Job Description

As System Vehicle Integration Engineer you will be responsible for the system integration of stability & agility and driving & assistance functions on vehicle level for state­of­the­art Electronic Brake & safety Systems. As a team member within a global engineering environment, you will support the system development of new technologies (by­wire systems) from vehicle level point of view and be in charge for the validation of (by­wire) system functionalities and vehicle operating concepts in base and application development projects.

Core Responsibilities:
- Test and develop Electronic Brake Systems and its components to requirements.
- Support definition and introduction of new technologies from vehicle level point of view.
- Support System development of (new) hardware (HCU, ECU) and mechatronic related software on vehicle level.
- Plan and execute basic tests for control chain and functional safety on vehicle level.
- Support third­party product benchmark analysis.
- Support Monitoring Function Development & System.
- Degradation Development on system level.
- Build up of Prototype and Demo vehicle and support vehicle feasibility studies.
- Define and create system requirements on vehicle level.
- Create and execute test specifications in base and application projects and document results.
- Support function and application tests (vehicle / HIL).
- Interface with customer (OEM).
- Coordinate build, equipment and maintenance of test vehicles and needed test equipment.
- Interface with departmental personnel in resolution of development issues from above.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline.
­- Profound experience within development of electronic brake systems.
­- Experience in system engineering.
­- Knowledge in data acquisition.
­- Knowledge in vehicle mechanics, electrics and electronics.
­- Experience with vehicle bus system (CAN, FlexRay,..).
­- Systematic problem solving skills.
­- Excellent communication skills.
­- Team player with strong focus on quality and customer orientation.
­- Self­-dependent with a high degree of passion, dedication and commitment.
­- Ability to travel year round (may require travel 3 to 5 months per year).
­- Valid Drivers License.

Desired Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Engineering discipline with focus on automotive engineering.
­- Experience with ISO26262 (FSM) and SPICE.
­- Basic Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink.
­- Basic Knowledge in Simulation HW & SW (HIL/SIL, CarSim/Carmaker).
­- Experience within development of vehicle dynamics, chassis or brakes.
- Advanced vehicle driving and judgment skills (vehicle dynamics area).
- Experience in FSAE, motorsport or similar activities
- 3 or more years of experience working in the automotive industry.
