Overview:
The Tax Specialist - U.S International Mobility will be a member of the North America Mobility team responsible for Continental’s international assignment activities related to Worldwide Income Tax Collection & Reporting and Assignee Tax Management. Primary responsibilities include providing tax tracking and collection support, acting as the main vendor liaison to Continental’s dedicated tax provider, and support finance and accounting with implementing efficient intercompany cost charging strategies.

Core Responsibilities:

• Worldwide Income Tax Collection & Reporting (25%)

o Create and maintain a worldwide income collection and reporting process by working with Host HR to collect and report payroll information for each assignee
o Provide training to Host HR on the worldwide income collection and reporting process
o Review payroll data received from host HR for USA taxability and consult with the internal payroll department or Continental’s external tax provider to verify USA taxability to determine tax consequences, if necessary.
o Act as a consultant to implement process improvements

• Assignee Tax Management (40%)

o Monitor and track Tax Equalization and Tax Allocation settlement process
o Ensure timely payments to tax authorities and employees
o Remind employees with a negative Tax Equalization/Allocation calculation to submit payment to Continental
o Review tax notices and take appropriate action with the employee or external tax provider to resolve
o Escalate outstanding TEQ payments and refund checks owed to Conti
o Review payroll tax entries as part of the dry­run and year­end reconciliation processes
o Organize and provide annual compensation data to external tax provider
o Communicate and remind assignees about important tax meetings and deadlines

Additional Responsibilities (35%):

• Act as a consultant to implement process improvements
• Document and map processes
• Assist in creating reference materials for all GES stakeholders on taxation, social security, payroll, invoices, set up, reimbursements, extensions and repatriations matters
• Support ongoing expatriate payroll reconciliation and communication

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, tax, finance, accounting or general business
• At least 5 years experience in global mobility/expatriate management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
