Job Description

Technical Project Lead ­ Lead and coordinate the technical development team for the development of electronic control modules for Body and Security.
Core Responsibilities:
• Ensure successful execution of all tasks of product development within the scope of the functional quality, time and cost objectives as agreed to with the customer.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical project plans in alignment with project manager and engineering disciplines.
• Lead the definition of technical concepts.
• Coordinate technical quotations and changes by estimating R&D efforts and material costs.
• Monitor and control engineering project budget, development milestones, deliverables and resources.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Collect, negotiate and maintain technical customer requirements.
• Lead technical risk assessments and implement lessons learned / best practices.
• Support project status reporting with complete R&D inputs.
• Provide input for technical product strategy.
• Act as technical interface for customers.
• Ensure successful cooperation with world­wide development and manufacturing centers.

Core Capabilities:
• Project management knowledge in the area of design and development.
• Good communication, team leading, and presentation skills and be able to work in global team environment.
• Understanding of electronics manufacturing.
• Understanding of software and electrical engineering.
• Knowledge in vehicle electrical systems.
• Understanding of the Automotive PLC.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
• Some travel to domestic and international locations as needed
• 5+ years experience in the automotive industry
• 3+ years in product development
• Previous experience leading a technical project

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master of Science degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years experience in the automotive industry .
• 8+ years in product development.
• Experience with ASPICE.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
