Overview: Group Leader - Sensors

Core Responsibilities:
• Leading the Project Management (6 PM's) group to ensure deliverables and targets met.
• Mentoring and guiding PM's and other disciplines as needed.
• Prepare R&D budgets and forecasts for Combustion Mechatronics Sensors (CMS NA).
• Leads discussion and review with all stakeholders for topics related to PM activity and for NBA /Tech items.
• Mentoring and provide feedback for all PLC items and supporting system (PLC/GPS/EPSR/MPSE /Web App/Review tool./Eppt )
• Prepare and lead reviews for all Q hurdle Items with upper management.
• Host and lead monthly management PM reviews.
• Manage PM group to ensure resource utilization optimized.
• Provide top level project details to all other disciplines to assist resource management.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Interface and assist with all Serial Life PM’s in CMS NA
• Visit customers to review all PM activity and support sales team for acquisition topics.
• Lead discussion with customers and suppliers for issue resolution.
• Provide information and support to CMS manufacturing plants and related disciplines to ensure problem resolution and launch and current production risks minimized.
• Will assist with Engineering Quote Responsible for all CMS NA NBA activity.
• Will assist with EQR quote information and reviews with controlling (PCIS) to management for approvals.
• Provide tooling, R&D cost, timing details and breakdowns as required to customers.
• Provide feedback to PM office for PLC office.

• Clear understanding of the automotive manufacturing processes and environment

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• At least 10+ years of full-time experience within the automotive industry
• Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of full product life cycle experience (concept to launch) with engineering or project lead/manager responsibilities
• Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with product launch
• Demonstrated cross-functional experience supporting or lead project teams
• Ability and willingness to travel (10-15%)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in engineering
• 3+ years of experience leading technical and cross-functional teams
• Power electronics product development experience
• PMP certification
• Experience working with Ford, FCA, or other global OEMs
