Job Description

Training Manager
In this role you will manage the shop floor training systems within Manufacturing as well as manage the Training Center located at the plant’s site.
You will design, implement and conduct the shop floor training system in an efficient and standardized way. Ensures that the performance and skills of employees meet the current and future business needs and match with the initiatives and requirements of HR and Manufacturing organization.
Also you will manage all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. You will drive the strategic setup of the training center and is leading the development of dual educational and apprenticeship programs.

Core Responsibilities
• Contributes to Strategic Workforce Planning, HR Planning & Controlling, HR Reviews & Audits, Organizational Changes, Culture Development, Diversity Management
• Collaborates with Labor Trainers, Plant Management (i.e. Production Manager, Area Managers, HR Manager, IE Manager, etc.) to plan, develop and implement training activities for the Clinton Plant.
• Incorporates motivating, creative and interactive training techniques to enhance training experience, maximize learning and retention per cultural needs
• Coordinates and manages daily operations for training center
• Responsible for maintenance work orders on HVAC, electrical, mechanical and lighting.
• Coordinates call-in of maintenance contractors and/or vendors as required. Monitoring and controlling facility expenses; coding invoices, researching billing discrepancies, ensure compliance with annual budget
• Assure compliance with inspections and permitting for state, local governmental agencies
• Ensures on-boarding procedures for shop floor employees
• Conducts shop floor assessment at various stages of the employee life cycle to evaluate competence in line with Corporate standards
• Ensures shop floor employees meet the qualification matrix required to perform the job competently.
• Ensures all shop floor employees meet the skills requirements for the tool assigned to them Ensures actual qualifications for shop floor employees are regularly updated
• Contributes actively to Retention Management
• Designs, develops and delivers Management and Employee Training for constructive dialogue discussions to identify talent and feedback
• Prioritizes, reports and consults with managers and HRBPs on development measures assigned or nominated for employees
• Prioritizes, reports and consults with managers and HRBPs on development gaps for employees
• Ensures a standardized training program is established, implemented and updated
• Develops & compiles training manuals and documents and other training aids and equipment.
• Coordinates the development of training modules and maintains contact with other organizations, training vendors and professional associations in order to keep abreast of new training delivery methods and instructional technologies and apply desirable changes
• Measures and improves effectiveness of trainings
• Ensures shop floor training compliance for internal and external audit purposes
• Support organization in HR IT Systems: e.g. HR IT Operations & User Support; HR Process Management; Conti Idea Management (CIM); Internal Administrative Tasks; Employee Surveys; Non HR Activities

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, social science or related degree
• 5+ years’ experience in training in a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of various training methodologies
• Has successfully managed and worked in challenging situations
• Demonstrated tenacity / persistence. Has a track record of success.
• Has Project management experience and has successfully steered a project team or lead a team.
• Worked with various cultures e.g. in international projects (demonstrates intercultural sensitivity and inclusive behavior).
